Terry immigrated to New Zealand since 2003. He has had exposures in various investment fields including acquisitions and private equity fund management in China and other overseas countries including United State, Singapore, Hong Kong and Australia. Tony Nie joined Milk New Zealand on 1 January 2016. Prior to that Tony worked for COSCO (New Zealand) Ltd for over 13 years as Company Secretary and General Manager BPS, HR and Accounting. He also acted as Director for United Containers Ltd in NZ, and Suva Container Park and United Containers Fiji Ltd in Fiji.

Justine has been involved in many aspects of the dairy industry after graduating with a Bachelor of Agricultural Science (hons) in 1993.
Prior to joining Milk New Zealand Justine led the BEL Group, a large-scale family owned dairy farming business located in the Central Hawkes Bay region, from 2009 until 2016. During this time Justine navigated the business through the tragic loss of owner Peter Barry, the GFC and the current dairy down turn. The business grew in scale during this time to milk 30% more cows and own 60% more land, it increased its profitability significantly and grew its equity by 40%. Justine led the transition of this business from owner operator to a fully managed corporate structure while purposely growing the leadership team to succeed her, she successfully transitioned out of BEL Group handing over the reins during the winter of 2016.
Justine Chaired the Dairy Womens Network from 2014 – 2016 establishing a strong strategic intent for their future and adding value to their board processes and frameworks.
Today Justine is interested in the challenge of the primary sector working together differently to access new channels to market and through closer engagement with customers realising the value behind the farm gate into real farm gate price returns.
Justine, in partnership with Andrea Barry, owns a small dairy farm in the Central Hawkes Bay and enjoys the opportunity this provides to develop young people into their Dairy Farm careers.
Justine has received numerous professional recognition through out her career, including Hawkes Bay Primary sector Industry leader (2015), NZ Dairy Woman of the Year – Dairy Women’s Network (2013), Selected for sport NZ Women in Governance mentoring programme (2013), Winner of the HRINZ Initiative of the Year Award – Bel Group “Good, Better, Best” (2011), Invited to participate in Sport NZ Inaugural leadership Pgoramme for Sport CEOs (2006) and Young Scientist of the Year – NZ Society of Animal Production (1998)
Roy van den Hurk

Roy joined Milk New Zealand Management Ltd as General Manager- Product, in September 2012, with the primary responsibilities of new product and business development, building or acquiring processing plants, and reviewing potential business opportunities. Roy is well qualified with university degrees in science, engineering (Hons), and business and with over 30 years of experience in processing and manufacturing environments. Previous experience included Director and General Manager for a multinational food ingredients company in NZ, and 20 years of senior management positions in manufacturing, operations, technical and engineering functions within food and primary industry sectors.
This background has brought a broad breadth of international business development and marketing experience based on New Zealand natural products. His experience covers management of the supply chain from the land, through processing, to international markets.

Fei has over 15 years of professional experience in dairy industry. Prior to joining Milk New Zealand, Fei was a senior executive in Inner Mongolia Yili Industrial Group Co. Ltd responsible for looking after the Milk Powder Division as the Vice Director of Equipment. During the years with Yili, Fei led many projects including assist in the construction of the first automatic UHT production line for Yili (2001), led and managed the construction of the first informatised UHT plant in Yili and in Asia with daily production capacity of1500 tonnes (2004) and led the construction project of the largest infant formula plant of Yili (2008).
In 2013, he was seconded to New Zealand as the Vice General Manager of Oceania Dairy Limited responsible for overseeing the operation of plant and production line in New Zealand. He was also responsible for building the current plant of Oceania Dairy.
GM North Island Operations of Theland Tahi Farm Group Limited
Responsible for overseeing the running and Operations of the Theland Tahi Farm Group 6 North Island Farms, comprising of 13 dairy farms and 3 dairy support blocks, milking 12,500 cows and 4,000 replacement heifers.
Former Operations Manager for Wairarapa Moana Farms; responsible for overseeing the physical and financial performance of the incorporation’s portfolio. Including 10,000 cows running on 3723 hectares over 13 Dairy units and 2 Dairy support blocks, milked by a team of 70, including both managers and sharemilkers.
Chris has worked in the dairy industry since 1980 working in numerous roles from 50/50 sharemilking and self-employed dairy farming through to his most recent roles being farm manager and operations manager for large incorporations.
He has previously worked for the Department of Corrections as the Waikeria Farms Manager in Te Awamutu. Prior to this he was the Farming Operations Manager at Taratahi Agricultural Training Centre in the Wairarapa.
Chris has a passion for identifying solutions for agribusiness challenges and then assisting in the development and implementation of action plans to ensure the continuous future growth of the organisation. Liaising with different parties to ensure the farms are operating effectively and efficiently.
GM - Farm Operations of Theland Purata Farm Group Limited
Andy joined Purata in 2013 as Livestock Performance Manager and took over as General Manager early in 2016. He has been involved in the dairy industry since the early 90’s. Andy qualified as a vet at Massey University in 1992 and worked in dairy practice, leading animal health, welfare and performance in a wide range of production systems in New Zealand, Europe and the Middle East. Prior to joining Purata Andy held both technical and business management roles in the animal health and vet pharmaceutical sectors. Andy has been very active in promoting the responsible use of antibiotics in farming, recently addressing the International Conference for Responsible Use of Antibiotics in Animals.
